Following in my grandads footsteps, I qualified as a Joiner in 1999.  Since then, I've worked for various companies with projects from construction to refurbishments to IPS system and washroom instalments in homes, schools, offices and hospitals nationwide.

I've worked on a huge variety of jobs which has given me extensive multi-disciplined knowledge of the construction process from material selection, techniques and tools, to equipment and safety.  I can accurately read technical drawings and specifications, offer advice on the choice of materials available to a particular job, and comfortably negotiate multi-storey heights.

Construction works have included the Aston Hotel in Sheffield, Oak Tree Court nursing home and numerous timber frame housing estates around Rotherham.

I spent 3 years refurbishing tenant-occupied council houses for North Lincolnshire County Council.  This involved the complete removal and reinstallation of kitchens and bathrooms as well as general joinery such as hanging doors and fitting windows etc. even the occasional lock installation was needed to prevent thieves taking coal from one of the elderly residents.

 

My recent projects have included shop-fitting concessions in House of Fraser, building a timber-frame house for a local businessman and bespoke storage solutions for local residents, and managing the conversion of an office block to modern city centre studio apartments.
